The officers and members of the Lake View Vol. Fire Dept. extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the families and friends of the victims of Continental Flight #3407. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We also want to encourage the members of the Western New York community to keep in thought and prayer all the emergency first responders who reached out to assist in this tragedy. First responders, without hindsight, put the needs of others before our own. Over the time ahead, these firefighters, EMS providers, police officers and various other members of this community will need to take a inward look at themselves to reflect back on their services. This is when the prayers of others will bring comfort and peace to them and give them reassurance that everything was done to work towards a successful rescue. It is obvious that that was not the final result. However, we pray that they find comfort from the prayers and support of all those who are lifting them up.
